Long term goals and short-term goals can get you from where you are now to where you want to be. a 10 year plan can help you do this. So let’s talk about your career – what do you want to be doing in 10 years time? Remember this is a private goal, this is not an interview question, or your parents trying to get to you to ‘settle down and find a job’, but this is destination that is a dream, a fantasy and a goal for you. It doesn’t matter if it seems farfetched. It doesn’t matter than this might change.
We have talked previously about using your Career Journal as a tool for reaching your goals – but of course the starting point (and this week’s prompt) is working out what you want to be doing in 10 years time and start writing your 10 year plan.
Action Point: create your long term goal. Ask yourself why?
