How to: Manage your Energy (not your time)

It is likely that you have struggled with your energy levels during the pandemic. Our regular habits have changed, and it is important that you find a new routine to help you manage your energy levels.

If you haven’t already done this, why not make it one of your resolutions for 2021. You have put your life on hold for long enough.

Have a Routine

We all have natural peaks and troughs of energy. You need to learn to understand and maximise these? To function at your best your need to have healthy habits. This means sleeping well, eating well and exercising.

If your routine has been disrupted by the pandemic (or you never had a good routine in the first place) and you want to reclaim your natural energy – follow these quick tips:

  • Have a Sleep Routine. Go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day.
  • Sleep for at least 7 hours a day.
  • Eat Breakfast.
  • Eat small, regular meals.
  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet.
  • Drink Water. (Drink 1.5-2.0 litres of water a day)
  • Take breaks every 90 minutes during work.
  • Get outside in the sunlight and the fresh air.
  • Get some physical exercise daily.
  • Do regular physical workouts during the week.
