V is for… Value

V is for… Value

In preparation for your appraisal or any promotion interview, you should work out your value to the Company.

This might mean the money that you have earned the Company. The business you have developed. The money you have saved. The benefits that you have brought the business. The extra-credit things that you do over and above your job description. Your personal brand.

If you are seeking a pay-rise and/or promotion, you will want to demonstrate your value to the company and how you have (or can) increase your value for the company.

This might be traditional things like improving your skills and increasing your experience, it might be in your relationships or personal brand.

Whatever it is, identity where your value is and how you are increasing it. Make sure that your Company is taking notice.
