V is for… Volunteering

Getting involved with volunteering with a cause that is close to your heart can be hugely beneficial for both the cause and your own sense of wellbeing. Volunteering your time or fundraising for charity and providing support to others can help you strengthen social connections and help you feel a sense of belonging to a particular cause or community.

There are lots of simple ways that you can get more involved with volunteering. Start by identifying some charities or causes that are close to your heart that you want to support. Once you have identified a charity, make sure that you follow them on social media and sign up to their newsletter or website so that you are kept up to date with the work they are doing and any volunteering or fundraising opportunities.

While there may be limits to what you can do during the pandemic make sure that you check out their volunteering opportunities and see if their are ways that you and your company or organisation can help them.
